    Saved By A Loving God

I know that we should truly understand and give thanks to God for his gift of salvation and sanctification...but for some reason I think we miss it.  I have been thinking a ton about the ongoing process of sanctification that Jesus Christ is doing in me.  Everyday I am being transformed more and more into the likeness of Jesus.  Being transformed into that likeness means that I allow the Holy Spirit to lead me and guide me in the thoughts, words and deeds of Jesus.

I wrestle with selfishness, insecurity and greed.  That doesn' come from the Lord...that comes fom the the temptation of my own evil desires.  God has set us apart for greatness.  God has put us in a position to share with others the gift and joy of grace.  He wants us to live lives that resemble him and not the self centerdness of the world.  What Jesus asks from us is total surrender.  He asks for surrender of our heart, thoughts, words, hands, and feet.  He asks or complete face down surrender to him everyday.

Don't miss the joy of sanctification through Christ.  Allow him to work through you.  He will challenge you, encourage you, enlighten you, and strengthen you if you let him.  Stand back and watch God work.  Isn't that what we are supposed to do anyway?  Give up and let God.

Don't miss out on the joy of being a Christian.  Make sure that you aren't so busy doing that you aren't being.

    Watching God move,

"Make sure that you aren't so busy doing that you aren't being."

Great reminder. And one I needed to hear right now. God calls us first to be his child. Everything else becomes secondary.

    On the journey,
