My niece, Tricia is 25, has cystic fibrosis and diabetes.  She was on the waiting list for double lung transplant when they found out she is pregnant.  Her pregnancy is in week 24, today they are moving Tricia into ICU at Duke Medical because her co2 levels are dangerously high, she's not getting enough oxygen for her and the baby.  Tomorrow morning they will put her on a ventilator and do a tracheotomy.  More than likely the doctors will deliver the baby this weekend.  Tricia only has a 50% chance of surviving the baby's chances are less than that.

Her husband is our worship leader, Nathan.  I know they would greatly appreciate your prayers.  He has a blog where he updates what is going on with Tricia and the baby.  If you could stop by there and let them know you are praying it would greatly encourage them.  http://www.cfhusband.blogspot.com  Their story is one of incredible faith.

    Thanks

Hey man, that is really rough about Tricia. I cannot imaging going through that. I have been praying for her since I read your initial post.

Tuesday Tricia was in OR having a tracheotomy and being placed on a ventilator. During the procedure the doctors decided it was best for Tricia and the baby to do an emergency C-section. To give you an idea of the magnitude of this there were 75 medical staff in the OR room at Duke.

Tricia gave birth to a 1 lb 6 oz baby girl. About the size of a cordless phone. Gwenyth Rose is in NICU and is stable and she is the tiniest baby I have ever seen. She is at 24 weeks.

Tricia is stable they have her asleep on meds and in ICU.

Please continue to pray. Doctors still say Tricia's chance of survival are iffy.

Thousands of people around the world are following and praying for them www.cfhusband.blogspot.co....

I posted the gospel on my blog (which has been getting hit a lot more than usual) and Rebecca (don't know her) trusted Jesus as Savior as a result of this event.

Thanks for your prayers. If you can go to Nathan's blog and let him know you are praying he would greatly appreciate it and it will continue to encourage these two young people with incredible faith

As of today things are looking better for both Tricia and baby Gwyneth. Tricia is totally off sedation and is conscious again. She doesn't remember the last ten days. Today she got to see a video of Gwyneth and Tricia just cried tears of joy.

Gwyneth is tough little scraper just like her momma.

Tomorrow I get to go and see them both and touch a miracle.

Tricia is doing well. She has moved back to a normal room. She has been in the hospital since December 26 and will be the a while more. She has just been listed and activated for a double lung transplant.

Meanwhile Gwyneth, her baby is still in NICU and will be for another month or two. She is doing well and growing and developing. Tomorrow will be her 7th week birthday. She was born at 24 weeks gestation.

Please keep them and my nephew Nathan in your prayers.
